‘The one excellent thing that can be learned from a lion is that whatever a man intends doing should be done by him with a whole-hearted and strenous effort’
The plot is as bold as the character of Maitreyee. The political thriller, through a simple language narrates the hardships of a common woman who has noting but the passion, commitment and un-dieing spirit to achieve her dream. Gargi Sarkar uses simple language and quotes a number of preachings of her idols. The connection is quite clear and the transitions are lucid. Ceratin thoughts seem impractical yet she managed to convince the reader to think deep.
Gargi Sarkar has her way of telling stories. The readers are made to think about extra-ordinary things without a strong justification. Her citations are quite interesting and throughout the plot, she made sure that the reader is on the right track.
