So, I have again been getting book review requests from authors. I was quite surprised when the first mail came to me last week through the ‘Contact Me’ form of my blog. Surprised because I had stopped doing so for sometime after doing book reviews for sometime. And this pausing for sometime after pursuing for sometime has actually made me more susceptible for sometime to take up more book review projects for sometime.
So, there are two books currently that I have got the request to do reviews for. I will give a short introduction of both here.

    1. ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ by

Faraaz Kazi

Excerpt: What happens when the most popular guy in school falls in love with his beautiful female equivalent? A pompous Rahul is head over heels in love with Seema, a shy lady from the same school. After a whirlwind of innocent encounters, their teenage romance blossoms but the two never confess their love for each other. Friends and even a few teachers approve of their relationship which is no secret to anyone thanks to Rahul’s flaunting nature. Seema, on the other hand, finds it difficult to handle the unnecessary attention she gets due to Rahul’s ostentatiousness. What follows is a series of misunderstandings and ego clashes causing them to drift apart. Rahul loses his popularity, his numero uno status, his sanity and ultimately his love. By the time he realizes what he has lost, it’s too late. He takes desperate measures to woo her back and win back her love. But will Rahul ever get back Seema? And will Seema ever realize how much Rahul loved her and all the misunderstandings that transpired between them? Is there really any room for misunderstandings in love? In today’s world, can a person’s first love ever be his last?

That was enough for me to take up this piece. Also, the vital statistic that the first edition of TMD (as I will like to call it here, if Faraaz does not mind) has already got sold out within the first forty-five days has made me more curious about the book. I hope I will get as much satisfaction after going through the book alike the various authors who are quoted in Faraaz’s site.

    2. ‘Fate, Fraud & A Friday Wedding’ by

Bhavna Rai

Excerpt: Get an idea of the storyline here: http://www.bhavnarai.com/synopsis.htm

I didn’t get much information from Bhavna regarding the book. Went through her website which is decently organised and the prologue has already made me much interested about the novel. So, alike Faraaz’s ‘well known’ book, I think I am ready to plunge in the wilderness of unknown-ness of Bhavna’s work as well.
