Plot Discussion: Not every day one comes across a book that makes one think, smile, cry and laugh altogether.
When I started with this collection of twenty short stories, I was reluctant about the same, but I am now glad that I was wrong. It’s a book having 20 stories which will make you feel like keeping it with you forever. The writing style is awesome, as if the guy next door is narrating his escapades or real life incidents. Infact many of the stories are more of a memoir than a fiction.
An anthology of multiple genres of fiction is what served when you pick up this book, many of the stories have a climax that makes you exclaim yourself, while there are stories having moral messages conveyed in a subtle manner. This anthology is almost the self-help/guide book you can consult if you have any dilemma regarding your paternal relationships, your break ups, your marriage, your office life (Only if you are an IT guy).
The book doesn’t portray impractical idealness and the protagonist displays the practical thinking one harbours now a days. The same happened during the story of his marriage when he is happy for being rejected by her could have been wife. Why? Well that you will have to find out for yourself by reading the book.
Overall, definitely a perfect tea-time read, as the name aptly suggests. Wishing to go through more from the author.
